What makes a course
worth playing?
Every course review here tries to answer one question honestly: is it worth the green fee? That means condition, challenge, character, and value — not whether the clubhouse has a nice carpet.
Reviews are written after playing the course properly — not as a guest, not on a press trip, not after one loop in ideal conditions. The aim is to give you exactly what you'd want from a mate who'd played there last week.

A well-maintained parkland course on the edge of Leeds that offers more variety and challenge than its reputation might suggest. The back nine in particular has the kind of holes that stay with you — and the 18th is a proper finish.
